Bible in one year: Luke 13-14

*“Your Hands shaped me and made me.” Job10:8 (NIV)*

Everything that exists today was formed and shaped by God. The physical shape of animals and plants determine their stability and what they can really do. While human shape does not necessarily determine what we can do, there is a formation process God puts us through to point to our purpose here on the earth.

In Construction the purpose of a building usually determines the design and quality of materials etc to be used. A public building usually has more complex design and is expected to be more durable than a private one which plays host to a lesser number of people.

Before God made us He determined what role He wanted each one of us to play on the earth and then He shaped us for the tasks he has assigned to us. The reason you are the way you are is because you were made for something specific.

God intentionally designed you the way you are so you can serve Him in a unique and special way. Stop trying or wishing to be like another person when your purposes are not alike. You are a unique creature for a unique purpose.

_*“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them”, Eph2:10.*_

_*“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth” Psalm 139:13-15.*_

You are not a mass product. You are customized for God and for your unique assignment here on the earth.

Please note that our discussion today is not limited to physical outlook but there are other things that determine our shape that we will examine in the days to come.

*Like David in Psalm 139, give thanks to God for taking time to form you specially in His image and likeness. Thank Him for the uniqueness in your being. Bless Him for the innate capacity He has given you.*
